partner availability lacking
Does anyone know why I am not seeing the same one world availability with CX points compared to other airlines? For example, I try to book an AA flight with CX points that I know is available and it shows not available with CX. Then a minute later I book it with Iberia points for example or BA. I asked CX and got nowhere. they just said it is not available with points but my understanding is all one world airlines have the same AA availability with points.

Have you tried the chatting function? Not all flights appear on the website for me
|
yes chat and calling. same result. they say no availability even though its available with other one world partners like BA/IBERIA

my issue has been Asia miles cannot see aa award availability. I asked AA on twitter x and they told me all partners get the same aa availability.

Is your redemption on AA mainline, or one of its affiliates https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/cath...l#post35017486 (AA affiliates with AM has been problematic) |
for AA mainline

i'm experiencing the same. None of the AA flights shows up in the app or the website. Tried chatting Asia Miles customer service and they said no availability no matter what date/route. And availability shows up on AA and BA sites.Frustrating.

Oneworld says its members have agreed to make reward seats equally available—if one carrier offers the seats, all must offer them. The alliance hopes that can be a "competitive advantage," said spokesman Michael Blunt. |

For example, to access LHR T3 AA Arrivals Lounge, it is exclusive to BA and AA passengers; other OW passengers are not eligible. This might explain BA and AA members would see the AA reward seat but CX members couldn't. |
Once Upon a time, I was redeeming YYZ-LGA ORD very cheap (sub 10000AM) compared to paying $$$ for last-minute fares on AA for my consulting work. I bill a flat fee, which I pay for my travel and accommodations as quoted to the client. I fly US about 10 times per year from YYZ.
AA redemption has not happened since 2017/18. |

It has never been equal in many ways.

Qantas can still see AA despite https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/cath...r#post35854857 https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...8ec6cd44f8.png |
