Middle Names
Does anyone know what the deal is currently regarding middle names on tickets?
I personally fly without using my middle names (on my passport) and book as first/last only. CX have told me today that they now require middle names on your ticket if they are also on your passport. This is because "for immigration and security purposes as travel documents will be checked at entry into the departure immigration halls."
Is this true at the moment?

Hi there
No its not at all necessary. I just did 3 flights out of hong kong and i never use my middle name and i had absolutely no issue. Dont worry you should be fine.

I think it's more common with some nationalities where the first/last name might be very common, but as I have 3 middle names i never use them on tickets and never had any issue

I would say better safe than sorry and one should include middle name on ticket (and contact FFP to correct the name if needed) to match passport and ticket name.
