There’s minimal overlap between opening hours of the two lounges.

Haven’t been to the CX lounge since the re-opening, but my recent experience at the BA lounge lasted about 2 minutes to take one lap around (completely packed) and then head straight out and over to the AC in T1.

Would have been really nice if the CX lounge was open in early evening like before.

What are the open hours of the re-opened lounge?

Should be around 9pm on most days and sometimes the morning when theres is the afternoon flight.

As of last week:

9:00a-12:45p (W/Su)
8:15p-12:00a (M-F/Su)
9:15p-1:00a (Sa)

Would anyone know if the food offering is different before the midday flight? Perhaps dim sum and western breakfast items?

Answering my own question.

Midday buffet is mostly the same as the evening buffet except the sandwich was a sausage and cheese biscuit and there was also scrambled eggs on offer. Lounge closed promptly at 11am on Sunday.

Is there a separate First Class lounge area for Diamond passengers?

Nope. And the lounge is so dated; food selection isn’t great! I’d avoid spending too long there.

is there a better lounge you can recommend for a Diamond member with a 3 hour layover before flying to HK?

Unfortunately CX lounge is the best. There's also JAL lounge which is worse. On the odd days that CX flight (CX879) departs during the day you can also check out the JAL lounge since both of JL flights to NRT (JL57) and HND (JL1) depart around the same time as CX879.

The JAL lounge has closed. JL uses the BA lounge for their flights now.

Hi, when CX873 departs later in the summer/dst schedule, ~2355, does the lounge also open later, 3-3.5 hours before departure so around 2025-2055? Thank you!
