Through check baggage

Through check baggage
Booked two separate tickets both CX. First leg from HKT to HKG in Y and the next leg HKG to JFK in J. I called in and had the agent link the PNRs so the baggage could be through checked, since I am only transiting in HKG. But for checkin at HKT can I use the Biz Class check in so the bags are appropriately tagged as priority for pick up in JFK?

Thanks all, had no problems checking in using Business Class lane 
! No luck with the lounge pass however! We went to the coral lounge using PP and it was abysmal, we sat out in the terminal instead. Not sure how the coral executive lounge is, seems they may not be accepting PP anymore.

HKG-GLA Through Check
Hello I have booked two separate bookings with different PNRs for GLA-LHR and LHR-HKG, I know that BA does not do through check nowadays but apparently Cathay still does it as a courtesy, would like to ask if I could through check my luggages to GLA at HKG when checking in at HKG?
