UO is not in oneworld. Don't think it counts.

For those in HK, seems like the final option is easiest:
Shop with Cathay Pacific and spend upon HKD5,000 or USD640

Lots of Apple products and other stuff that can be easily resold with minimal loss, if you don't intend to use the item.

Just check out its iPhone price, it is USD30 cheaper than Apple shop but you need to fork out 10k AM, which isn’t such a good deal. Having said that, considering you can pay 5000 miles to extend JL’s membership for a year, this isn’t that bad especially for those renewing Gold or Diamond.

Good morning / afternoon / evening / night (Wherever you are),

Has anyone already been confirmed renewal of their status until Dec 2023? I know technically probably not, given that the T&Cs say this will only happen in Dec...

I am simply a bit nervous, as I don't see myself flying CX this year, I have flown QF but not in a fare bucket that counts, and I don't have any credit card of theirs nor an inclination to spend HKD5,000 at stuff that I don't want or need at inflated prices.

Having said that, I did take two award flights with a OW partner airline using my AsiaMiles, so I should be covered... Just wanting to make sure, of course!

Anyone know whether the unused mid-tier benefits will be extended upon their expiration? I have a few upgrade vouchers and companion gold card that expire in Sept/Dec this year. All accrued pre-COVID.

I thought converting 50K miles from HK cards/30K miles from non-HK cards would be easiest?

How will I know if my flight with QR will be eligible for membership extension?

The flight shows in my Cathay app with the corresponding miles and points to be earned. Does this mean my flight is eligible?

My flight will be CRK-DOH-ZRH RT. Is this counted as 2 sectors?

It was over the phone confirmation. Try calling them using the reservations no for your location.

Does CX still count status points at the time of crediting?
I'm thinking of removing my CX number for some of my long haul QR J flights and credit them in 2023. Hope that will work towards next year, who knows what CX would decide to do then.

Yeah, am I understanding correctly that I can just transfer 30K points from my AmEx to Asia Miles and I’ll qualify for the extension?

yes.

Another fine example of CX never bothered looking after the home market of travellers from Hong Kong anyway. The purpose of the airline is to look after passengers connecting through HKG which sadly, there is not any.

The "elevated" CX extended my status by over 1000 years...

Yes, I called and confirmed I am covered. I noted the agent's name and the call time.

I'm wondering the same, as I had already had a trip with several AA flights earlier this year.
