Need help finding cheap fare for HKG-TPE
Need 6 coach tickets March 18-29. The usual travel websites all show around $460 per ticket on CX. There has to be a cheaper way to fly this short route. Any suggestion on Asian consolidators or other alternatives is appreciated.

Also, since you need the tickets in March, I would suggest you not bother checking/buying them until you are in HKG. There are literally one flight at every hour to TPE (CX only, not including CI, BR, KA, TG, SQ......etc). So, the point is, the deal is to be had when you get to HKG. I once took RT in Y on BA (no longer in service) for a mere $1200HK. Fares are usually around that neighbourhood.
While not the cheapest, but the Wing On Travel website provides you with a ballpark number of what local fare are like.

CX actually charges the highest on this route. The cheapest on this route is usually EG (Japan Asia), but they only offer one flight a day. TG have 2 flights daily, and they charge around HK$1400 (I took TG on that route last year, not a bad flight). When you go up the list, CI, BR, KA are around HK$1500 - 1900. CX should be around HK$2000. And I agree with everyone that it is definitely cheaper to get the tickets in HK.
