27 June 2000 Cathay Pacific to launch new service to Karachi Cathay Pacific Airways today announced the launch of a new service between Hong Kong and Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan. The service will start on 1 September and operate three times a week via Bangkok. CX seems to continue its expanding trend.
According to some other souces, CX is considering Tehran, Iran (???) or Honolulu, Hawaii, soon... I personally hope that CX can start service to ORD, and SEA soon. A340 may make economic sense for SEA routes (better than 747). Karachi... no surprise, since HK has a large Pakistan population and PIA has just started service there. Carfield |
