Thanks for the menus and photos. Looks excellent. Unknown why Singapore Airlines cannot do something similar in its home port.

SQ Private Room is F only and cannot be accessed with AA OWE via Taobao-purchased Hyatt Globalist. ;)

The alcohol at the Private Room does seem to be much nicer. Still Taittinger Blanc de Blanc? CX used to serve that on short haul F.

Is it possible to order these items during breakfast hours or are you limited to breakfast menu only?

I arrive early on BA with an onward CC connection. I think I’ll be there 7 am to 10 am so well before it shifts to lunch.

Singapore TPR will let me order off the dinner menu during breakfast hours though they do warn me it will take a little extra time.

7-10 am would be breakfast menu only.

Thanks for the reply.

That's fine. Plenty to eat on board from LHR to HK and then I'll have more room to eat in HK.

At least I should be able to get a bowl of wantons at LHR. Will be much happier with that than BA breakfast offering on board.

What time is the cutover to lunch? I have a 12:30pm departure in a few weeks, probably not quite enough time unless they switch on the early side.

I found Pier F to be pretty poor in terms of the quality of the food. The mains were TINY portions. The fish on the October menu (halibut I think) was awfully dry and my friend said the wagyu braised beef was like something from a canteen. Compare that with Qantas F lounge at SIN….night and day!

Tiny portion so that you can try more dishes. Just order more if you aren't full, there isn't limit to how much food you order.

And I'd be fooled by you if I haven't been to QF F SIN. Pier F is much much much better in terms of food choice, food quality and service. QF F SIN has nothing to write home about other than the fried squid which is in every QF F lounge (oh since you talked about canteen, the squid can also be found in every dai pai dong hawker stall in HK). Their laksa is an insult to that dish.

There’s need to get ultra defensive. I see where you’re coming from but why call them main courses when they clearly aren’t! The whole execution of the service was also better at the Qantas F lounge in SIN, with small touches such as a wet towel when you sit down. I tried several dishes in each lounge and it’s clear to myself and my travel companion that The Pier F was a disappointment in terms of food (but better in terms of overall environment). Even the desserts were poor. It feels a bit like the deterioration of Cathay’s onboard food in J on regional routes (long haul is better as well as Y class food overall) But if those people chasing Diamond and the new Diamond Exec are happy with it then so be it.
