I'm surprised CX is reusing a classification...sloppy if you ask me! Old-timers will remember the original "77A", which was CX's first 77W configuration. It was around from 2007-2013 IIRC (can't remember if it was completely gone by 2012 or 2013. I remember the first 77Ds started appearing in 2011).

In the old 77A F was the same bones, but there was no PEY, Y was obviously 9 across (and it was those shell seats), and J class were the Olympus style "coffins".

Reflection of how short term decisions are made these days.

HNE has flown to Xiamen today! She will be the first 77P.

QRC3288 May 1, 2018 3:31 am

The pace of these conversations is faster than I anticipated. They're quite serious about this it seems...

henryc41 May 2, 2018 7:39 pm

KQX has returned from Xiamen, she’s now a 77K with Old Livery, I assume.

Planes now in Xiamen for conversion
KPZ (to 77K), HNE (to 77P)

jacobsleather May 2, 2018 9:53 pm

KQX indeed still in old livery

How do I get permission to view the file?

jacobsleather May 3, 2018 12:25 am

You don't need permission, but it won't work in Mainland China if thats where you may happen to be.

They should be as the summer peak is coming.

But i don't understand why they cant do all the changes at once, such as the 9-abreast to 10 abreast seat conversions, PEY footrest upgrade, livery change, F upgrade, wifi.......
it is not what you call efficient, flying an empty plane to XMN back and forth.
