Dear forum,
Thank you for answering this question. I am trying online but it seems like there is no option for open-dated ticket. Does Cathay Pacific sell open-dated ticket?
Thank you

It is unusual nowadays for airlines to have an open return ticket, like what you see on some railway companies.
If I am you I would buy a return ticket which is dated as far as the calendar can go then change the travel date from that point. This would give me +/-1 year to play with dates, giving me more flexibility.
This would however mean needing to buy the most expensive fare bucket, such as Y for economy, W for premium economy, J, for business and F for First.
By buying these tickets you will be exempted from paying a change fee and difference in fare (as you are holding the most expensive one anyway).
Note that there would be a penalty for no show.

Not really a good suggestion. Much better for longer routes to buy D or I and not J (or A vs. F), saving thousands of $, which have small change/cancel fees. I'd rather pay a $200 fee to change a $4,700 ticket in D than not pay $200 for a $14,000 J fare.Originally Posted by cysyuen

Gentlemen,
Thank you. My family has been flying Korean Airlines and they are still selling open-dated tickets. I am thinking about flying Cathay Pacific based on my friend's recommendations, but we like to buy open-ended tickets. These answers are helpful.
