carrotjuice and brunos ......sounds truly grim ! You've got me worried :(
I have a fair few CX sectors coming up. For the shorter ones, I think I'll be aiming to eat in lounges pre-departure, but most of them are over eight hours. |

The laksa was actually flavoursome albeit "tamed down" for ang moh (gwailo) tastebuds. The beef was satisfactory, medium, with tasty cheesy rosti potatoes... but served with two sticks of slightly overcooked asparagus. So, shorter sectors, not ex HKG (surprisingly!) may be passable. |
Thanks for additional comment carrotjuice (or should that be feedback ;)
Although ....not quite what I was hoping to hear ! Wouldn't mind if the short sectors had below-par food and the longer ones had something better. But seems like it's the other way round .....!! |
I remember a rumor/myth that SIN route has the best catering only because they don't want to look too shabby compared to the main competition on this route. But well, if that's the case we should expect better catering on the SFO service too...

For my JFK-HKG sector this week, the main course choices of stir fried chicken with rice looked just like economy food and barely edible.
And the e-fu noodles was anaemic and dry. Like blanched greasy white noodles with some brown sauce randomly dolloped on it. Just, just awful. Most passengers in my vicinity took a look at the dishes and opted for the lamb dish which though overcooked, was the least unappealing of the lot. |
And those of you who thought CX was bad and claim you can fly other airlines with similar hard J products....

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trip-...lass-mu-j.html The PRC operators, even if the hard product is a private jet, will screw up the service. Thats why they all like traveling on CX. |

Does 'budget' also include award space problems on DL?

Are they still doing the wake-everybody-and-force-them-to-eat-in-the-middle-of-the-tpac-flight-because-there-won't-be-any-more-food-service thing? I am thinking of booking a flight on CX, but that's a dealbreaker.
