749 to JNB.

I am flying 748 back to HKG on Monday, will report if it is the same.
Trying to squeeze in as much 747 F as I can before they are gone :(

I think it was before then...I've been flying CX since 2007, and I don't recall ever getting the amuse bouche. Late 2007-2008 (or maybe even 2009) was when CX was doing the transition, but I flew on old F heaps of times to LAX, SFO and LHR. In 2008 I distinctly remember playing the guessing game ex-SFO HOPING for a plane with the new F in the 747 (and being disappointed many times!), and eventually it became very reliable and finally a lock. Unlike the refreshed vs. un-refreshed F today, there was a huge difference between new and old F and with the routes served with 747 you just didn't know. I remember I'd even try to schedule my last trips in the US to be in NY if possible because you were guaranteed new F once the 777s were on the route, but you couldn't say the same for a 747 out of LAX, YVR or SFO. But I don't have any memories of the amuse bouche on the old F, and I suspect I would have if it was there. I don't recall there being anything I liked more about the old F than the new F, so it was awesome when you got it and a letdown when you didn't. If amuse bouche flew with the old F I think (hope?) I would've remembered. I think it was before my time with CX.

I remember the first 747 with the "new" herringbone/F configuration came out early 2007. When this happened, service standards were changed regardless of aircraft type: new crockery, new tablecloths, new blankets etc. So I'm pretty sure if they removed amuse bouche as part of the new service delivery for new aircraft, the same would have happened when you were flying on an old interior.

The same happened when the current business class was introduced - service delivery was consistent between the non-reconfigured aircraft and the new configuration.

Very nice to have it again.
Flew to CDG and back end-January and did not have it on either flights, just nuts. So it must be a February addition.

There are reports suggesting that it applies to out-ports as well

CX introduced the new F class back in late 2006/early 2007

That's when they stopped the amuse bouche

It appears to have been stopped on a certain date, not based on whether the a/c had new or old F. I flew old F a few times (starting in mid-2006) when I had just started flying CX and I have never had or seen an amuse bouche on-board.

Yea you are right. What I meant to say is at the "time" when the new F class was introduced, they stopped the amuse Bouche.
