I believe this is used by Some to describe the middle seat in Row 4. I dont think CX should have a seat there for its F cabin but it is there.

Why not?
What else should they put there? A Statue?

If it's not for the extra seat, think how how many less F awards would be available...

Ironically, the people on awards gets rows 1 and 2 and it's the guy paying full fare who gets 4D :p Not that there is anything wrong with this.

Funnily enough, I've been op up to both 1K and 4D.

I wouldn't describe that as a Captain Kirk seat. In fact, none of the CX F seats qualify because of the suite-like surround. A Captain Kirk seat sits alone in the open. AA has one in the first row center of the F cabin on the 762 or 763, I can't recall which.

I frequently fly between HK and JP/SG on First Class but never experienced this. Which route will they serve Krug and Caviar?

Long haul flights eg HKG to LAX, JFK, LHR etc
