Hi,

I'm wondering if I book a AA flight (WS operating), is it possible for me to earn club miles? I know AA/AS flights can earn club miles. Curious if it works the same for AA/WS. Thanks!

I think you can only earn Asia miles, not club miles in this case. But I'm not 100% sure, last time I asked CX, this agent told me that club miles can only be earned on OneWorld operating flights.

You can get AA miles but I'm not sure about CX ones.
In any case AA miles are more valuable if you have flexibility.
(Although I did notice a few people on a YVR YYC WS flight using CX boarding passes with CX FFNs but no status)

The AS exception is specifically noted on AM website's AA page, but WS is not. Since WS is not an OW member, so basically no miles (no MPO and no AM) unless there is a bug in the system. Feel free to report it back if you are trying to enter your CX number anyway.

WS is a codeshare partner of CX. So you could earn miles if you use the CX code of a WS operated flight. But it would have to include a longhaul CX flight.
I doubt that you can get any miles on a WS operated flight with an AA code.

If I could hack the system to get WS flights to credit to OW, I'd be all over that like white on rice and abandon AC. Sadly, I don't think it can be done yet.

All WS flights can be credited to AA, a member of Oneworld. Not status miles though but @ 100%.

Of course, but the question is about CX FFP.
