Stand By on U class
 
I'm currently booked on a U class from JFK to HKG. Can anyone share the experience of standing by for an earlier flight on the same day of travel? Thx!

My understanding is that you can standby for award TKTs issued by CX on CX FLTs. However, if you have a UG TKT from Y that would be much more complicated.

Chances are that OP is not Asiamiles member!

Other airlines' award ticket need to be reissued by respective airlines first. CX may rightly refuse OP to standby unless ticket has been reissued in correct flight.

But they 'may' allow it on certain circumstances. But it is not guaranteed!
