Multicity Stopover Help

Joining my mom's family on their annual trip to Putuoshan, flying into Shanghai the night before and flying to Putuoshan the next day. Anyway on the return, I was thinking instead of spending the weekend in Shanghai (which I've been doing these last few years) I want to just stay in HK instead.

Anyway so I did my booking MNL-HKG-PVG/PVG-HKG/HKG-MNL. Eveything seems okay up until when I'm asked to pick out a flight for PVG-HKG, the choices show only flights that leave PVG until noon. I don't know what time we'll get back to Shanghai from Zhoushan/Putuoshan so I'd rather play it safe and get a much later flight instead.

I'm booking on I class, there are no options to take afternoon flights on the list even if I select C/J. If I book on I can I call the reservations hotline to move me to an afternoon flight?

If availability exists and fare rule allows such changes.

I checked CX's schedule and it seems like there are a lot of flights leaving PVG that afternoon to evening on October 19,2012. I think there would be an I class on one of those flights

I did a straight booking MNL-HKG-PVG/PVG-HKG-MNL on Oct 17 and Oct 19 and I can take CX369 at 17:35 still on I class...would it be safer to just get that and move my HKG-MNL on Oct 21 on CX903 after I get my ticket?

Again, we have no idea what the fare rules are, so you need to call e-service or reservation to figure that out. Also, married segment (PVG-HKG-MNL) availability is different from stand-alone segment (PVG-HKG). Below is the availability FYI:

had a problem with my ticket so I had to call eServices instead of local reservations team. The server timed out but bank said the charge went through, waiting for the cancelation to book again, the good thing is CX will hold the reservation and fare until that happens. :-)

Called today I was able to ask for the 5pm flight out of PVG and get CX903 from HKG to Manila on the 21st instead. I just have to pay 15 dollars as HKIA airport fee. I think that was pretty painless...
