Somewhat OT
Any thoughts on rows 70 and 71 in Y. There are now two rows of 2 seats each in the back but it is next to the toilet. The 773 config without Y+ only has one row of 2 seats at the very back.
I forget. Does the queue for the toilet usually extend all the way to these seats, resulting in people using your seat back as a brace when they walk? It seems these might be the best seats if you are traveling with only one other person or in a party of four. Thanks |

I've just checked on a seatmap and noticed this isn't an extra legroom seat, so I'm assuming now that all non elites will try to go for this seat.

Is this actually a report of a Premium Economy offering or is it Economy in the Premium Economy cabin? Y+ is not a "sold" cabin until 1 April. Until then I know they are seating MPO in the Y+ cabin but I don't know if this is with Y service or Y+ service. If the former then I am not surprised the meals were from Economy.

The ISM told me that the general policy is that the first meal is "like" a J class service, and the second meal is like a Y class service. |

This current month of "free" premium economy is a proper premium economy service with specific menus etc. They are trying the service so that they can refine for revenue premium economy the following month.

Yes for the first meal the main was the same as J class. I compared the menus and 3 of the 4 meals were the same as J.

Just curious, where/how did you check the seatmap? It's not showing up yet on CX's website under their fleet info, and when you click the 77W link on a booking it gives a content error.

8) once the front pax recline their seat, it is quite difficult to me to walk out from my seat (K column) to the aisle, since the reclined seat from the front and the handrest in between H and K actually block the way, and it is so difficult for me to pass over it.
I think that's where only 2+ inches would already make a huge difference. It's still tight in QF Y+ seats for example, but indeed possible to get through without waking up your front seat pax. |
Anyone been in Y's "mini cabin" row 39-42? Did you notice a significant reduction in noise compared to the main cabin? Trying to decide between the bulkhead compared to the exit row for extra legroom...

Can you tell me if 39A has a window? Or is it next to a wall?

can Y+ pax try cathay delight?
