Wrong departure time on e-ticket!

I don't know if this happens often, but I got quite a scare yesterday. Was on KA387 from FUK-HKG yesterday. The departure time on my e-ticket was 14:25. The actual departure time was 16:20, which I had in my mind all along.

So when I was still on the JR train to Fukuoka at around 13:30, I panicked upon seeing the 14:25 departure time on my e-ticket.... Luckily I had taken a snapshot of the information when I did my OLCI.

I downloaded my e-ticket directly from the CX/MPC homepage, so I really can't see why there was this error on the e-ticket.

Has this happened to anybody? Or can anybody shed some light on how this happened? I tend to rely on what's on the e-ticket ... I better be more careful from now on.

So what happened in the end? Did you board your flight at 1425 or 1620?

Once the E-TKT is issued, the time stated will not be changed unless there it is revalidated. You should always rely on the time stated on your itinerary, which is updated when there is a schedule change.

I didn't get any emails or messages telling me that the flight time was changed. I just checked the email with the flight details (I purchased the flight on CX website) - the time was correct.

I believe it was simply an error on the e-ticket, because everywhere else the time was correct. If I look at the e-ticket, the departure and arrival times would have made the FUK-HKG direct flight a 6-hour flight, which is definitely wrong.

As I knew that the departure time was 1620 when I did the OLCI, all I had to do was a quick check on the flight status, which confirmed a 1620 departure. So there wasn't too much of a panic.
