If you're planning to blow >$25,000 in a month, you're likely to be able to schedule the spending on a weekend where you can earn Fubon $6/mile without having to work through the step up stages.

I think the problem with DBS is that its Amex, while Citi is Visa, better acceptance. But you only get the 6HK per AM kick in after monthly spend of HK$25k (which IMO is very very high).

It's effectively $7.5/mile to $25,000 and $6/mile thereafter.

Visa - that's why I suggested the Fubon in lieu - you go onto $6/mile straight away.

Yeah, but isn't Fubon $6/mile on weekends only and only if you spend over $300? Or am I missing something?

Yes, weekend only.

On weekdays, there are better offers for dining/supermarket shopping/dept store/telecoms.

I have almost too many Citibank cards, never cancelled one and always got the welcome offer

Start with Citi CX card back in 2006, then their telesales call me when they have their Octopus to sign me up with welcome offer, then Citi Rewards with their welcome offer...

Well they call me and say I still eligible for the Signups bonus so I was like why not.

Especially not when their Citi PM card has some ridiculous high salary requirement.... I just can't be bothered to churn it I guess
