I always use this website for Toronto and for that matter, Canadian hotel rooms. www.canadahotelexperts.com If you are flexible as to which 3 or 4 star hotel you will stay at they seem to have the lowest rates I've seen - and no bidding!

I would recommend the newly opened www.pantageshotel.com - apartment hotels and some great rates (inclduing priceline potential) and centrally located.

Had a great stay there last year and cannot say more to praise them. Beds are comfy, staff helpful (and good looking...!).

I've been and stayed at the Pantages Hotel and while I agree it's a nice hotel it is not possible to get this hotel through Priceline.

Delta Chelsea

I found the Delta Chelsea in downtown Toronto to be well-located and reasonably-priced. Be forewarned. It's a very large hotel and checking in requires a bit of a wait. There were a lot of families there last August during my stay but the kids were restricted to the pool on the ground floor. Check out the rooftop pool and patio reserved for adults. The view is not bad. The Eaton Centre is a short walk away and should keep any avid shoppers occupied. :)

This canadahotelexperts.com website is a scam. They buy the rooms off Priceline/Hotwire on your behalf and then charge you a big premium over what they paid. Smart business though.
