It's not a difficult connection, but I wouldn't try it with checked baggage without a backup flight booked unless you're really confident in DE's on time performance.

It'll be 15-20 minutes after the flight lands for the bags to arrive at the carousel (you should have no issues getting through CBSA before then at that time of day) and then a 5 minute walk to the AS bag drop. If the DE flight is even 15 minutes late you have no hope of meeting AS's bag drop deadline. If you do meet the 60 min bag drop deadline you'll be fine getting through CBP and security.
