Central hub for Air Canada. While YYZ is a very good NA airport, YVR is still my personal favorite.

This ranking also rates BOM the best airport in Asia, ahead of HND, SIN, ICN, TPE (etc). So take this with a giant brick of Himalayan pink salt.

Strange I thought the best airport designation was reserved for Vancouver. Toronto? Pearson? Wow? The airport where you can connect from the US to Canada with all your aircraft docking at a bridges and still have to get on a bus. Are we talking about the same airport.

They rated YYZ best in the >40 million pax/year category, which YVR doesn't fall in to. To be fair, most of the competition in this category is utterly dismal US airports like ORD and EWR.

There should be some minimum criteria to win such an award! YYZ does not deserve awards.

YYZ airport is great as long as there is no rain, snow, heat or cold.

What a farce. A quick look at the "winners" reveals some rather pathetic loathsome airports. The European selection is lamentable, and Medina of all airports for the Middle East? Seriously? Silliness.\
I get the part about the high volume of pax, but YYZ sucks big time.

I can understand how YYZ ended up winning - not because it's good, but because everyone else is just crappier. However, this organisation loses all its credibility when it chooses CKG, DPS, BOM as the best in Asia...
