For the first time in what feels like ages, i'll be doing a transborder flight out of T3 relatively soon, and I'm trying to figure out my timing for it. A colleague of mine mentioned that last time he went through T3 in early January, CATSA had, in their infinite wisdom, had not set up a separate Nexus line.
Is this still the case?

No Nexus priority CATSA at T3 US departures as of Feb 29 at 0430Originally Posted by iMedic

What about Amex priority lines?
So, CATSA closed the NEXUS security line in T3?
I'll admit my last trip back to the US from YYZ T3 was in December, and at that time there was a separate and distinct NEXUS screening line at the far left, after going through US CBP Preclearance.

I left via T3 on March 4 at 5pm, and there was nobody but I did not have to take off shoes/light jacket/liquid...etc when told to go to line 2. I asked it it was the Nexus line and the person said yes.Originally Posted by tentseller

I don't remember if there was any sign explicitly states Nexus tho.
I used the Nexus line on Feb 8, but it was a little hidden. Instead of going through main entrance to security, there is a hallway to the right where the bathrooms are. Keep following that hallway past the bathrooms all the way to the end and there is the entrance to security for Nexus.

Sadly, I've NEVER passed YYZ (T1 and T3) with my laptop in my bag or shoes on... (they always asked me to remove them, even in NEXUS/family lane)
so much for NEXUS
Laptop has to be taken out even in Nexus. You do get to keep your shoes and light jacket on, as well as tablet inside your bag.Originally Posted by jerryhung

NEXUS is just a "priority" screen line for NEXUS card holders.
TSA-pre is the priviledge of not having to take 311 bag, computer out of bag and shoes off at TSA checkpoints with the "pre" service.

So there is no Amex or NEXUS line at T3 transborder?
I guess I ll show up early for the zoo that will be tomorrow morning.

FWIW, Nexus in T3 has been (for me) hit or miss in terms of speed. There have been times that the regular line moves much faster than the Nexus line, and the distribution of passengers in both lines has been even (vs fewer in the Nexus line).
T3 to USA just tonight
Step 1 - Security
Used the family Lane at far end, Same as nexus
Step 2 - scan BP and confirm baggage number
Step 3
Global entry and regular kiosks are quite empty
Not any faster for nexus for sure
I probably spent 10-15 minutes in total as a family and getting an X because I said YES to Food = had to see an agent

YVR Transborder Nexus CATSA line is the same as the TSA line you describe above, with one exception: You must remove your laptop from your bag.Originally Posted by tentseller
