license suspended in Quebec

My Quebec driver's license was suspended for an unpaid fine. I paid up at a courthouse on Friday but now I have to take a document to a license office and wait until the next business day...Tuesday. I want to drive to Toronto tomorrow. What am I risking if I get pulled over for some reason? Do I get one warning? Will I go to jail or have my car impounded? Would Ontario cops have it in their system? I called the SAAQ and asked them if they would know in Ontario and he said anywhere in the world they would know which I don't believe.

"The world?" - maybe not.

Ontario and Quebec most definitely share driving info.

Have a look here for the world of trouble you are looking at if caught http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/saf...sibility.shtml

Also, your insurance will be invalid.

Take the train. And next time pay your bills.

not entirely accurate

Thanks...while I have chosen to stay put, the link you sent is only for those suspended because of a criminal conviction.
