New for January

From January to March, three Heidsieck group labels will be available in First excluding JFK the prestigious Rare Millésime Brut 2015, Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Millenaires 2014, and refined Piper-Heidsieck Rosé Brut NV.
From 1 January, Château d'Esclans, home of Whispering Angel, will join our First wine selection, bringing a sophisticated Provence rosé to the skies.
Our destination wine programme celebrates Cape Town, showcasing distinctive selections from the Cape Winelands. Featured wines include Mullineux Old Vines White 2023 from Swartland, Vergelegen Estate Red 2020 from Stellenbosch, Leeuwenkuil Shiraz 2023, and Swartland Winery Bush Vine Chenin Blanc 2024.

Fever-Tree Refreshingly Light Ginger Beer joins our beverage selection in First, Club World and Club Europe.

World Traveller Plus and World Traveller customers can enjoy new Sweet Lounge Blue Raspberry goodies as part of our mid-flight snack offering. These sweets are crafted from natural ingredients and are vegan-friendly.

Euro Traveller customers can also try new snacks this month, including Nairn's Fruit and Seed Oatcakes on morning flights and the beloved McVitie's milk chocolate digestives on daytime flights.

Excellent information, Charles Heidsieck is my ever favourite bubbly, let’s see if I can make it into First whilst it’s on the menu.
Just a small notion, Charles Heidsieck, Piper Heidsieck and (the dreadful) Heidsieck Monopol are three different champagne houses, unrelated. Sometime in ancient history the founders most likely came from the same family, but they are completely different companies.

Have they got rid of the awful brunch and supper menus yet?

Yes, thank you for the info. Rare is in my top 5 and I haven’t seen it on BA for maybe decades. Luckily enough headed to Cape Town in First in a few days for the winter escape. Also a fan of Mullineux wines. 😊

Looks like they are gently removing the brunch menus hoping no one notices, I think the supper menus are here to stay but is being completely revised which I think is a good idea.

Well, I hope so. This is what I got in Club after being invol downgraded from F. This is supposed to be a cheese and tomato toastie. Maybe it was that once but not when I got it. Both it and the soup were not hot either. Disgusting.

Not exactly true
The three Champagne houses named Heidsieck - all originating from families once related!
In 2011 both Charles Heidsieck and Piper-Heidsieck were bought by EPI Group.

I have a red eye flight in F from the Middle East coming up, I hope to taste the Rare Millésime Brut 2015. I wonder if they would serve this pre departure?

I doubt it. Aren’t they forbidden to pour alcohol until leaving dry airspace?

Not many of BA’s ME destinations are “dry”, so that’s not really the point. But it’s fairly unlikely (although I am not 100% sure that this is true in all of BA’s ME destinations) that they’ll serve the good stuff on the ground in any event, for tax/customs reasons. More likely to get plonk pre-departure.

Off topic I appreciate but how on earth do you get invol downgraded from F?

Surely that is the one cabin where a booked seat, should mean a guaranteed seat.

Just curious.

I stand corrected, thank you Grande Annee! Although, under the same ownership, Charles and Piper are still very separate champagne houses, with separate vineyards, separate cellars and, of course, separate cellar masters.
