Sat at the next table to her a few years ago whilst dining with a friend. Sadly no chance to talk to her (she was dining with Bill Nighy). As you say, very elegant.

She didn't have them on in the CCR, but put them on at the gate - and wore them while we walked & talked through to the car park on landing.
