Bassinet seats - can you phone to book?

We currently have the two seats next to the bassinet and the one across the aisle.

All bassinet seats are showing as available on the flight, departing Monday, so I doubt there would be that many travelling with infants that haven’t already booked.

Ideally I’d like to move to this seat but I know it can’t be done online.

I did try phoning for our last flights back in Feb and was told it couldn’t be done. Asked at the airport and told they were all taken. Once onboard they were all taken but not one by anybody with an infant.

If I phone to try for this flight what should I say to give me the best chance of getting it booked?

We’re silver if that makes any difference.

Thanks

you do need to phone and before the flight goes under airport control - probably about 36 hours before departure

Thanks.

When I phoned for a previous flight I was told it couldn’t be done.

We’re silver and it’s a BA holiday booking. Should I phone silver or holidays? I think I tried both last time with no joy.

I would say 48 to 36 hours to departure, not any later than that though in theory it's ok to 28 hours to departure. The main contact centre agents should be able to assist once it is clear that you have a child under 2 years old for the seat.
