Thank you also for the advice on the SIN stopover. It doesn’t sound like there is a lot of time there!

If all is well, it's enough to go to the lounge and get a shower, for example, even if you're doing a transit on BA16 and the time between flights is something like 1:25.

One thing that I think hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread about this part of SIN is that security is at the gate, so you won't miss the flight as long as you're in the security queue there. Unless you really want to be first on board, there is no need to rush to the gate. But it's worth remembering this for the purpose of the liquids rule.

Off topic a little, I remember way back in 2011(?), I was able to fly out to SIN on BA metal and return on a QF one. Cannot seem to do that anymore? Did they stopped working together?

Yes, QF fell out of love with BA and got in to bed with EK ... although I believe that romance is no longer as passionate as it once was.

The BA / Qantas alliance is not as close as it once was, but your still have the ability to book QF for SYD - SIN and BA on SIN - LHR on a BA or QF single ticket.

I have one of these currently booked to give me an A380 for the full trip.

Yes, but I am asking about LHR-SIN.
