On Thursday, BA revealed details of the first aircraft to be retrofitted with the new seat.
BA will install the seat on two Boeing 777-200ER aircraft by the end of this year. Simple Flying reportsthat the two aircraft selected to commence the extensive retrofitting process are G-RAES and G-VIIA.
These aircraft, which are both more than two decades old, also feature first-class cabins, which will remain after the retrofit and currently operate to a range of different destinations, including:
British Airways has revealed to TPG UK that these two aircraft will not be dedicated to any single route after the retrofitting, but will continue to cycle through various destinations as part of the airline’s largest Boeing 772 fleet.

Interesting I was looking at booking some flights to Dubai next year but noticed the A350 wasn’t appearing and instead there was a 3 class 777. This article refers to 4 class airframes been fitted however so it’s a bit strange.

The superb wiki here: LGW & LHR selected 777s go 10-abreast (3-4-3) in Y 2018 onwards would have told you that G-RAES is going to be the first 777 to get the Suites in a "8F 49J 40W 138Y (NEW Club World)" config, although the wiki reckons -VIIG will be the second.

There was talk of a new or refreshed F cabin (similar to the 789) from Snr Cruz, I believe he said it would be unveiled towards the end of the year so this could tie in with the refurb. 2 birds, 1 stone. (No pun intended)

Yes once the Club Suite is installed the F cabin reduces to 8 - F will be fully refurbished I think but the new product hasn’t been announced yet.

G-VIIA First flight 1996. Delivered 1997., . There are younger 747s....
BA must be wanting to get some return from the new cabin so these aircraft are going to be fairly old when they stand down...

If it's 1-2-1 then you've landed it. Can't imagine the config will be different in the 777 compared to the A350, even if the body widths of the aircraft differ.
