Do You Know Your Passport Number? By Heart...
Why is It, every time I call BA they think people are just going to know their passport number by heart?
Sure some of you really frequent travellers will but I probably fly 30/40 flight a year and all I can tell you is that it starts with a 3....
The lady tells me nobody ever knows! I just find it odd questioning.

I can guarantee I won't be the first person to say that I can. I don't use my Australian one much at the moment but a while back I remembered it as well.
I've always had a brain that tends to remember things like that
For a long time I knew my mum's credit card number as a kid, because I had to type it into a form a few times when signing up for our first ISP years and years ago...

Everytime i say "no, but its valid through XX Dec 20XX and the passport number is C3XXXXXX"
Everytime there is an awkward silence after that

My current passport has a very memorable number so I am in the boat of those who do remember. Its always impresses the agents on the phone when they ask for it!

Yup, I know mine [and my wife's, which is the previous number]
As with pythonisman, i tend to recall assorted number sequences, even if I have no idea of today's date!

I know mine and my husband's, but I keep forgetting the exact expiration day. I should learn the kids new passports too... It's useful when you have to fill forms and the passports are not quickly at hand.

I know passport number, issue date, expiry date (and the realistic expiry date) and number of double pages left...
Is knowing your passport number the same as knowing your BAEC number?

I had a mini-rant at BA when asked for my passport number a while back.. "why is it I keep putting my passport details in your website for you to lose them" etc etc (which incidentally is true), only to then realise they were simply asking as part of their security questions prior to discussing the flight I had call them about. Oops.
