BA100: The Queen visits British Airways Thursday 23 May 2019
1 Attachment(s)
I think BA's staff have been asked to keep this under wraps, but it's in the Court Circular so it's hardly a secret any more. Her Majesty the Queen will be making a visit to see British Airways at Waterside on Thursday 23 May. Staff have been able to apply for tickets to the event. I was going to headline this as "a concerned local resident gives Álex a piece of her mind" but I suspect all will be sweetness and light. She can do fairly good imitations of the noises made by different aircraft types as they go over her back garden.
I suspect some BA100 initiatives may be unveiled at this event. |
I hope she has a lovely time. |
Let's hope they serve tea with her scones.

Maybe she will ask why one can't see all one's current bookings
Let's hope she doesn't have to log in! - "Sorry The page you're looking for has either moved or no longer exists." |
I do hope they charge her £2.50 for a tea bag, a non-recyclable cup and tepid water.
|
I'm fairly sure when there was a documentary may have been BA or the FCO a few years back that the greatest concern was making sure the Dubonnet was loaded on the flight.

I thought her Maj and her late mother were both equally keen on Dubonnet? |

No I'm sorry Your Majesty you can't sit there those seats are reserved for our Gold Card & One World Emerald customers. :D
|
Does anyone know her CIV score?
|
A genuine VIP instead of all those DYKWIA chancers BA have to put up with every day.

No doubt who is going to get the throne seat.
|
Her Majesty has arrived and was greeted by Alex Cruz. See more detail in the DM article.

Lol after asking Sainsburys yesterday how to cheat the self scan machines I wonder how many guests she tried to blag into the CCR. |
Are hats a part of everyone’s uniform now or are only mixed fleet represented? |

We need to start an FT collection to buy him some new trousers. The ones he’s wearing today are a good couple of inches too long. He really does look a mess. |

Just advise him of a problem and to visit a tailor as it would much cheaper :)

He's been putting in the carbs hasn't he? He needs the Tom Kerridge diet.
Meanwhile, Liz the German looks good for her age. Pity she doesn't take Phil the Greek with her any more. |
Everyone is very smiley.
I hope they had a nice day. |

The monarch, 93, spoke about her first flight on the Concord in 1977 and a 17-hour non-stop journey from Perth to London in 2011. It was for a flight for herself and the Duke of Edinburgh to Monetgo Bay in Jamaica. The Queen also admiringly remembered the 'smooth lines' of Concord from her first flight on it, returning from Barbados in 1977. |

Considering there is a pen next to her it could just be the visitor's book for her to sign in? :)
I suspect she’s trying to work out why her much-loved Afternoon Tea doesn’t actually come with tea. |
Big Bob?
