LGW-PUJ Delay today

Hi - we are in Dominican Rep and our return flight is delayed due to the BA 2205 not having left LGW yet. Any ideas as to why it is delayed from LGW please? Trying to work out the connection that we will now miss too

That coding isn't giving a cause yet, we typically get a bit more after departure. My random guess would be either equipment shortage/breakdown or crew shortage. I'm wondering if G-VIIU was originally down for PUJ but has been reallocated to Orlando (and running late there too)?

Outbound flight showing as boarding at LGW now and ETA in PUJ 2hrs 56 mins late.... suspect the inbound will make up a bit of time on turnaround and flight and showing 2h30 min estimated delay into LGW.

Hope you get your connection shorted should be fine if on one ticket.

Are you booked on one ticket onward to JER or is this sector on a different ticket. ?

if it’s one ticket I’d be tempted to leave it to BA to sort out upon landing ?

Goodness you're right, zero across the board. Why is everyone going to the Channel Isles tomorrow? (CWS included as it happens, I'd trade you my seat but you will arrive too late....)

We have seats on Thurs AM at the moment and standby on Weds for 1210.
Do we know the reason for the delay and any EU261?

No but I suspect at the time the computer program was written it was permitted.....

There was a period when BA had smoking allowed on some services. and then finally just to Japan. This only ended when BA and Virgin stopped that provision on 1 April 1998.
bigwalrus and DiamondMile like this.
