Does BA still serve caviar in F?

Burned a bunch of miles so I have a number of EU-US in F coming up. last time I flew BA F was 10 years ago, Have they done away with the caviar in F?

I looked at their menus and it seems it is not mentioned so should I presume it will not be served?

No caviar.

There might be a sprinkling in a starter but it's not served in a way that other airlines serve is as a course itself.

I have not seen caviar on any F flights - however my Fs are usually TATL or HKG/SIN.

I have had caviar on TG and CX. I do like the way that TG serve it with vodka shots ^

Caviar was on the menu as part of a starter on UK-North American routes last month (not sure whether it's still on this month's menu).

On its own, it's only available on the DME route in First.

If you mean the same starter I had (which incidentally was a very nice starter) we are really talking about 10 grains!!! "Garnish" comes to mind!

Didn't know about DME. Is it to, from or both, and is it good?

I believe it's both, but I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm mistaken.

It's a cute mini tin (I think 1/3rd of the size of an F caviar portion in a normal airline's F cabin) and is pleasant enough, but I'm really not a caviar enthusiast. It's meant to come with a matching vodka according to the menu (Beluga?), but both times I've asked they've been out and I've had to match with whatever random F or J vodka they had lying around.

Not being that big of a caviar fan I'd prefer BA serve Balik salmon instead like LX F if they ever decide to upgrade.

They do sometimes serve Balik Salmon in F. I've had to BOS back in 2011. The actual dish was pretty poor, but it did contain two slices of Balik which where rather yummy.

You'll have to fly LH if you want caviar in any significant amount in F.

We've got our first F on BA coming up this summer. Surprised to hear about the caviar. Balik salmon would be nice.

My wife enjoys caviar very much and got a double portion last LH flight when the cabin was half filled with kids.

caviar service on LH, CX, TG and OZ. Each served as a course.

There was a small garnish of caviar on the amuse bouche I had in F on the A380.

It tastes of nothing; I never get what the fuss is about!

They must have been rationing it the day I flew with them.

Then you were served dud caviar! Real caviar is a thing of beauty (but, like marmite, not everyone likes it!)
