I want to know what a Satay Fare is?
You did the right thing sending your family on Easyjet (why?) so that did not have to witness that Slobs are exclusive to CE, but can be anywhere on the aircraft. Is that a sandwich packet stuffed in the seat pocket in front of 1E? How common.

Coo! That was a good fare! You don't think that was another FTer do you? There's a rather delicious DYKWIA thread going down in AAnother Forum - wait until the owner of that lot pitches up to say that I Pay So I'll Slob All I Want!

That's some post on that thread! Human behaviour never ceases to surprise me.
Back on topic I think it would be a good idea for BA to put simple signs/stickers/visual symbol on the bulkhead saying
DO NOT PUT YOUR FEET ON THE WALL

That’s irritating but it’s not quite a full house. Yesterday I boarded a Ba flight and put my bag immediately above my head. A short while after someone else boarded, moved my bag to the next bin behind and out theirs where mine was. Luckily it wasn’t a full flight so I let it slide but on a full flight where I might have struggled to get back I would have stood up, removed their bag and put mine back where I had originally put it!

Oh, someone did that too, but his bag wouldn't fit where mine was because there was a lip inside the locker, so he put it back. Not that it mattered much as my bag was just my handbag and I just move it in front or on top of the wheelies when things have settled down. This has changed my travelling life, by the way, a tenner on ebay for a little multipocket canvas handbag with a strap, it's all I use for day trips.
I'd gatechecked my rucksack because I had checked bags anyway and wanted to set a good example to groups 2 and 3 who were visibly champing at the bit and foaming slightly at the mouth (in the manner of thoroughbred also rans) to get their massive wheely bags on. Actually the level of tutting from these people when the long line of parents and small children filed past reminded me of what happens in some parts of Southern France when you accidentally wake up about a million crickets.
