They rotate through the terminals, long haul aircraft often arrive at T5 and are towed to T3 and vice versa.

I really do miss the Landor livery. T4 was always an impressive display in the late 80's early 90's. It was the time when I was probably travelling BA for work the heaviest and all in Y. Definitely a great livery for it's time. I still associate the Negus "British" livery with the tail end of the Bloody Awful days and Landor for when the airline was on it's way to the very top. Those Landor BA ticket jackets were so impressive looking compared to other airlines. BA could definitely do with a refresh. While the Chatham is nice looking it tends to look very dirty next to other airlines

For the airline it's a huge business risk to not own the branding associated with it in the public's eye. Think of the huge costs if the agency decided not to renew a licence to use the branding and all the aircraft had to be repainted immediately to avoid copyright infringement? All the stationary that has to be reprinted and advertising changed? Not to mention a new livery and branding has to be designed to replace the old. The cost to acquire the rights from the agency up front as part of the engagement contract are minimal in comparison. For this sort of contract I imagine the agency would expect ownership to be transferred as normal for this type of engagement.

I never knew the 747s were named until I saw that G-BNLY was originally called "City of Swansea" and has been given that name once again. Does anyone have a list of all named 747s from around that time ?

In my private equity days, we discovered that we did not own the rights to our own logo which still sat with the agency. Original contract had clearly not been reviewed at a high level.

I think you'll be waiting a very long time. The four retro liveries have already been announced; B-CAL is not one of them.

My branding friend told me that the branding is the company as far as many people are concerned, and that a company that doesn't completely own all of the brand elements is heading for trouble one way or another!

I never knew the S stood for System!
Missed seeing the bird as flew out of T4 yesterday and couldn’t see her! To make up for it had this little beauty out of PEN this afternoon...

Pic #1 may be incorrect

The BEA does work on the little Airbus, I will admit.
