Anyone seen anything recently decent for Sri Lanka ( out of London, or ex-EU would be fine too ) ... fares on QR etc. to Colombo seem way higher ( regardless of starting point ) than to Singapore etc. - hard to find anything under £2k round trip over the summer regardless of departure point ( Kiev is as good as I could find and even that's £1500 which is too much hassle really ) .. happy to do the legwork to look for things, but just wondering if I'm missing anything obvious or if anyone has any interesting ideas !

Thanks - I'd missed Bucharest ... substantially cheaper alright and availability very good ( doesn't seem to be a 'promo' fare or anything ) .. Works out at 1389EUR , so more like £1.2k, but lots cheaper than anything else I'd found

Also a genuinely nice place to spend a couple of days before starting your trip

Rather unusually, this fare is also available from Berlin (TXL) - though not on the exact dates in your example.

I wanted to avoid a cross post with the TP thread, but Germany-YVR is also available on the same fare basis with a connection through PHX for ~£1242 and 720TP if one is so inclined.

Does anyone have any suggestions with a trip to MYR (Myrtle Beach) in the first week of June? Cheapest J fares from LHR are coming up at around £3.5k and exEU (AMS/ARN) at around £2.5k. Is there anything creative about that could potentially drop the price to around £2k?

Cheers!

AA has a policy where they can protect connections on separate tickets (with some conditions attached), provided you proactively contact them about any delays. Short haul is 15k avios as a redemption, usually, so you'd be looking at ~1200 to BOS and ~150 (equivalent to 15k avios) to connect.
