Or maybe his friend is Ralph Fiennes, and it was a QF flight:

Well it (allegedly) occurred on a flight to SYD but it was BA. Seems the flight deck rest area at the front of F on the 777 is quite nice.

I wouldn't ask for anything but always appreciate kindness and good service. Looking back over flights, the CC that have gone that extra mile tend to have been in economy. On departing a flight, my husband and I were given a bag full of goodies, including wine and drinks. This was on British Airways. We had enjoyed speaking to the CC and were surprised and touched that they did this. In a Qatar lounge, staff presented me with a beautiful cake with a personal message before boarding a flight. This thread reminds me of all of the genuine, lovely CC over the years. Focusing on bad service is necessary on a forum such as this. Nice to flag up the exceptional and the good too.
