Always rather curious how TK can be the outlier on this. They offer a decent J SH product (quite often on domestic), the ticket prices always seem to be higher than BA when I compare and they seem fairly consistently full (fully aware of the shortcomings of my observations).

Emergency exit row. Has extra leg room due to the need for people to exit the plane quickly in an emergency - although be aware you cannot have any bags under the seat.

There was an article on one of US blogs (TPS?) recently in the same tone about A3 J flight from Greece to Germany that had "fraud" in the title. I guess the OP is not the only one who was surprised by European J.

I see the OP is a UA user. I flew UA F SEA-ORD albeit many years ago and wouldn't say it was a massive step up from what CE is now.
