Unhappy T5 First Lounge Magazines

on a visit yesterday morning it seems the magazine selection is getting even worse, no business traveler although this was handed out in club Europe. only "decent" option seemed to be a new statesman which i read occasionally to reconfirm my center right viewpoint. a random selection of unknown and foreign language offerings seems to be it. Please bring back the spectator and other decent options BA.

It’s only a trial at the moment but a very popular one with staff.

I'll start another thread on the PressReader thingy - it's quite a good initiative, though it is in trial mode (or so I was told).

EDIT: Here is the specific thread on PressReader
BA trialling PressReader for its customers

I bet it is! Does the signal work down the the Crew Report Centre or are you all sitting in Pilots hacking down the data?

I noticed the downgraded paper offer but I did not know of this trial! Much better indeed for both passengers and planet.

Magazines shall be read on paper, I think. For me it's completely useless to be able to download "magazines" and that's not something I will ever do.

You probably won't have much choice in the not too distant future.

There was a 6 feet high poster as you entered the lounge from the First Wing on Thursday night.

I almost walked into it.

I know and that make me sad.

I will never be interested in reading a "magazine" that way so I just have to live with it.

Personally although I support Pressreader and think it’s a great new service to offer I like the physical copy of a newspaper or magazine onboard.

When I was in the F lounge a few months back I thought the magazine selection and newspapers were excellent. Certainly better than the Club lounge upstairs!
