How far have you've flown in 2018?

Compiled my MyFlightRadar24 flight tracker last night to encompass my 2018 so far...

15 days in the air in the last nine months, 71 flights (11 domestic, 40 international), totalling 159,000 miles (6.4x around the world, apparently).

Most disturbing is the 31.2 tonnes of CO2... I really need to up my off-setting. That's roughly a small herd of cattle I believe!

Yes, it's a bit early for this year's "how much did you fly" thread. Some of us still have another 40 odd flights to go and possibly more to book

With about 50,000 miles still to go for 2018 I'm at 141,000 miles this year with 57,000 of them A350-900. 12.6 days airborne so far. Oh and 29 tons of CO2

Is there an easy way to do this that doesn't involve manually loading flight data? On My Flightpath on BA Executive Club it shows you total since joining BA and individual flights for each year but doesn't total year by year as far as I can see. Interestingly I have travelled 964,561 miles on BA to date, almost a million-miler!

BA's flightpath doesn't list all the flights... so you may as well crossed the 1m miles mark already ;-)

I use openflights.org which pulls in from TripIt. Neat little site.

Isn't it a little early in the year for this kind of thread? I suppose Christmas decorations next.

I’m afraid this is unacceptable. You’ve clearly missed the point

The idea is to come on and impress all & sundry that you’ve been stuck in a metal tube for much, much longer than others (and complaining that you wish you didn’t have to do so will get extra brownie points)

A bit like the how-long-have-you-spent-in-a-lounge thread. When someone tells me they were in a lounge for six hours ..... I say .... pftt ..... that’s nothing - I once lived in a lounge for ten days ....

Christmas is coming. Isn’t it ..... ???

I fully recommend My Flightradar24 , easy to use, just enter date and flight number and the rest of the data is populated on the day. The profile also contains lots of interesting statistics such as airframe/airline most flown, number of time flown that particular route.
T8191 and Sealink like this.

I'd love to work this out for my UK-Norway and Norway-UK flights on a 707 that took 9 hours and 5 hours of that was flying in circles.
