No more welcomes from the CSD on long haul flights for gold?
Thats three long haul flights I’ve taken this past two weeks without getting a welcome from the CSD.
Not that it bothers me a huge deal but its a good way to raise any issues with the seat or service, if needed (and sometimes it is needed!).
is this new policy? Maybe there’s a lot of golds and they decided not to bother any more?

Same as it's always been for me. Hardly ever happens on lh, almost never on sh. Not that I'm unduly bothered.
If it were like the utterly predictable CX greeting that comes with a bottle of water, then yes, I'd be happy to have one. But a vague 'If there's anything I can do..' seems rather awkward when it has happened.

If that isn't inconsistency I don't know what is.

How so?
Please read what I wrote as a whole in the context of what's being discussed rather than pick on one word.
When something should but does not always happen. I would not call service inconsistent if something that was not promised was not delivered even if someone went above and beyond on a previous occasion and I had expectations for it. Would you call lounge rules inconsistent if on some occasions you were allowed 2 guests but on all other occasions you were allowed only 1 guest?

Got it this weekend LHR-PHL in CW, and also JFK-LHR in F. I can't remember the last time I didn't get it, although I tend to only travel CW/F so maybe that makes a difference?

I was in CW too. Only been in F once in my life and with the money you guys spend I would expect the CSD to be sitting on your footstool the entire flight! Ha!

It's a bit hit and miss even for a GGL in F. It's been like that for as long as I've known it.
I wouldn't mind if the CSD sat on my footstool as long as he/she is nice to talk to though!

Thank you Txubito. Yes, the greetings do happen randomly (when there is time to do it), but nothing has changed as far as policy is concerned.
