Overfull is an understatement:

1 ALC LGW 1055 1235 BA2631 J0 C0 DC RC IC Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 320 C*E
«B» LC VC NC OC QC SC G0

But the BA 2633 a few hours (well 14 hours) later is completely and utterly wide open - admittedly horrible timings - but the disparity does make me wonder if something is up? Like another cancellation on that day?

I'm having the same issue with a BA/Comair JNB-PLZ flight in November. I'm waiting for J award space to open on that flight, but set an alert for I < 4 to let me know if it was approaching time to buy an I fare instead of waiting for award space. The alert fired last week, and when I went to verify for myself, the flight was completely missing in the flight availability results. BA.com and Google Flights are still showing the flight for sale, and there have been no changes to a separate booking already made on that flight. Similar to the story BugAlugs is sharing. FWIW, this is BA6243 on November 3.

Sorry Boys - you posted this a while ago and I did not reply. There is nothing so irritating as someone who starts a thread and then vanishes.

Firstly a HUGE Thank You to everyone who took time to give me their thoughts. An even huger Thank You to C-W-S for making a call and going to a good deal of trouble. You can be sure that we will check in on line as soon as it opens. My Guests are on the same PNR and one is Gold and they are in CE so I suspect they will be OK - we will see. Anyhow a Mucci for you and I am shocked that I had not done so earlier,

A P Yu - In that ALC Bucket-and-Spade market I would be amazed if there were no shows unles they were in no fit state to get out of bed for the flight. This is Benidorm International we are discussing.

I wonder if this has anything to do with Ryanair Spanish staff striking?

I'll report back when we get past Check-in opening.

UPDATE

Check in completed minutes after it opened. No problem whatsoever. Seats in CE confirmed.

What happens now, of course, is in the Lap of the Gods.

You missed the boat. You had me and you let me go. You are no longer on my bucket list.
