Highly unlikely. O&D from MAN to Central London is well served by trains, given that Manchester - Euston is a little over 2 hours, there's a train every 20 minutes, I can pretty much just walk up and go.

If I'm O&D on MAN-LHR, it's usually because I'm heading somewhere on the western side of London, usually to a tech campus along the M4 corridor, or I'm actually attending a meeting at or near Heathrow itself.

The rest of the time, I tend to be connecting in LHR to another flight in the rest of the network, so I can't help feeling MAN-LCY would be especially useful.

What planes will BA use to SVO? EX-BMI's or A319/320 like LED.

What could be the reason for moving this rotation to SVO? Connections with AY?

Easier access to the North of the city, according to the press release.

However IB has no other operation at LHR than MAD, EI have BHD, DUB, ORK and SNN. The EI DUB operation alone is 13 rotations a day which is the same as the BA/IB combined LHR-MAD operation so moving EI to T5 would not be a small undertaking Moving the BHD service alone would only create a different sort of confusion from mixed terminal operations that EI probably don't need. They have a smart lounge in T2 and on the whole the T2 experience IMO is way better than T5.

Perhaps it would be easier to move MAD alongside BCN to T3?

As a general rule of thumb, winter / summer boundaries align with UK clock change dates...

Disappointed by further cuts to LHR-GLA route. Noticed that many of the decent commuter-friendly flight times were cut last winter. As noted by others above, it's a busy route most of the time so I wonder what other factors are at play to reduce the offering?

Re: Warsaw -

Minus 1 [flight] is certainly not big deal per se (apart from the terminal switch), yet still slightly disappointing considering that the other big players (LH above all) all operate a few daily services. Clearly not a big market for BA (merely an observation, I’m sure BA know what they’re doing ).

More and more GLA flights are A320/21 so im guessing the overall seat offering is not dissimilar compared to A319. It is of course only two flights (total) per week, and even though the peak flights are rammed, some of the weekend and off peaks are not near full.

Whatever the reason, it can't come soon enough! I prefer SU for intra-Russia flights over OW partner S7, and all the SU flights I frequent use SVO. Hopefully this will be the end of the awful ground transfer between the two airports.

BA will cease to use a widebody aircraft on there DME route from the start of the W18 schedule. The 13 x weekly service is now showing as operated by a midhaul A321.

Other Recent Changes:

Cairo - Flights retimed for W18. Changes shown below.

BA155 LHR 17:00 - CAI 23:45 321 D
BA155 LHR 19:30 - CAI 02:30 321 D

BA154 CAI 03:45 - LHR 07:15 321 D
BA154 CAI 08:20 - LHR 11:50 321 D

Calgary - Will not operate W18. Was originally planned to daily
Doha - 787-9 will replace the previously planned 777
Houston - 787-9 will replace the previously planned 777 on BA195/BA194 rotation
Jeddah - 777 will replace the previously planned 787-9
Nairobi - 777 will replace the previously planned 747
New York (JFK) - 747 replaces previously planned 777 on a number of rotations
Philadelphia - Flights retimed from a lunchtime departure to a early afternoon departure (16:00) from LHR. The return flight to LHR will move from a arrival time of around 06:30 to 09:15. Daily 747 frequency remains unchanged

Outbound makes sense, gives them a reasonable spread of 10am, 2.30pm and 4pm flights with AA and allows them to remove the 3 x weekly BA69/68 service, but the return from Philly is silly as you have 1 x 7.45pm and 2 x 9.10pm departures.
