No claret in the CCR!

I noticed the other day that there was no red Bordeaux on display, but it was available on request.

Today, nothing! Three other reds on offer.

I know there are many other countries that produce great reds, but I do think that there should be one French red in BA's premium lounge.

Whilst I enjoy wines from many different countries, I do agree entirely with your post.

BA is of course a premium Spanish airline, so as long as there's some Rioja, job's a good un.

Despicable. Theresa May must be advised. COBRA meeting maybe.

It might be the Russians.

How bad is that (the recent strikes in France must have affected the wine supply).

Maybe BA ran out because Sarkozy gave it all away to Gaddafi...!!

Agree. Always expect a Bordeaux with BA!

Yep, no bordeaux on Wednesday either. I'd have no issue if the other wines on offere were drinkable. BA seems to have a habit of offering - in the CCR and in F in the air - a decent bordeaux as their "premium" choice, and then typically 3 terrible wines from other countries (not always the case, but more often than note this is the case...).

True, though surprisingly the 2015 DV Catena in F this week was more enjoyable for me than the Bordeaux (swapped after being slightly disappointed by the Bordeaux). Not generally a fan of Malbecs.

Sadly this is probably a positive given the combination of high Bordeaux (and especially Burgundy) prices and a declining BA food & beverage budget. There is better wine to be found elsewhere in the old world (Spain & Portugal) and other parts of the globe to better fit BAs limited budget.

Unlike the rest of the threads on here which deal exclusively in complex geopolitical issues and social injustice?
