Minor travelling with grandparents on BA
Hi - I was getting ready to call BAEC but decided I would ask the experts on the forum for advice first. My 7yr old would like to spend a few weeks with his grandparents in India over summer break. Current plan is for me to fly with him to Delhi and stay for a week, and he flies back with the grandparents when they come to Chicago a few weeks later. Can I book us on the same outbound and have my son's inbound be with his grandparents? He is a US citizen and has an Indian OCI card if that matters.
I wasn't able to find a recent post about this on FT or on ba.com so any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you!

I believe you will need to book your son on a stand-alone ticket over the phone - after having booked the adults tickets - and ask to link it to your booking for outbound and the grandparents' one on the inbound.
Semi OT
Think also if it's better to have a letter/document stating the grandparents have custody or escort rights for the travel back.

Would it make sense to book me and my son together and then call within the 24hr grace period to change his return date to match theirs and provide their PNR etc.? I don't want him tagged as an Unaccompanied Minor as that will probably complicate things unnecessarily.
PS> Did manage to google a letter for minor traveling with relatives and will use their verbiage with my pertinent details.

No need to book and change tickets under cooling off, it's just an extra step. It should work with a TA ticket, but just book online at ba.com in case they're doing something funny with consolidator tickets. He won't be an UM if you explain over the phone what you're doing.
Can't imagine you'd be challenged for a letter at any point, but it's a nice to have for sure.
