Riding that through a packed T5A would be interesting. Fun for the underground walkways to B/C though!

It might be compliant, but isn't there some kind of a rule against riding skateboards/scooters/roller skates etc inside most airports?

Ah ok, so I thought it had an engine...

But still, too lazy to not skateboard through the middle of an airport?

Just seems to be a way of making you look like a different twat than the ones who were balance boarding around the airport a couple of years ago...

We've had a bit of a discussion about this before, where UncleT threatened to join the trend:

I also think I saw someone using one over the Big Bridge at LGW North connecting the 100 gates. Security stopped him at the main building.

Really tempting to get this for day trips!!!

On which grounds?

I have seen plenty of kids using those recently, age bracket 5-12, eg once they become too old for a Trunki.

I am undecided if this is stupid or really stupid...:D I would give it the benefit of the doubt and go with stupid...

I know a "gadget guy" with one (or similar) of these, and have seen him head off on it and make good time ahead of me around an airport.

As he is over sixty, well past the flush of youth, it might be classed as a mobility scooter :D

And that's straight onto my Christmas list. I look forward to embarrassing my colleagues on future trips.

This would be great for a day trip to a city centre airport. Fly to NCE, scoot down the Promenade for lunch, spend the afternoon on the beach and scoot back to the airport. Sounds great!

Fine for an 8 year old to increase the chance they get to the gate on time.

Not at all fine for some 28 year old, bearded, wannabe woodsman, soy latte drinking hipster man-child. Nathan Barley was a critical success for a reason.

One of these will cause an accident in the terminal at some point, mark my words (not to mention potential use as a getaway vehicle for someone intent on mishcief).

Dead against. There. I've said it ;-)
