BA Non-Rev Loads

Greetings,

Anyone have info on flight loads for BA173 and BA831 for tomorrow (June 30)?

Flying duty travel, with meetings in New York. Checking to see if we'll make it.

Please PM me if needed. Thank you in advance!

Surely if you are flying duty travel you are confirmed?

Which is exactly what I said when he posted a similar question on the EI forum. Something fishy?

Interesting. Can you simultaneoulsy be flying duty travel on EI and BA?

flight884 Jun 29, 2017 2:46 am

We are multiple crew members, flying on different airlines. And no, I do not believe our airline has a positive space agreement with BA nor EI. So we are never confirmed, and are always on economy standby.

How strange, what airline send there duty staff on standby?

mikeyfly Jun 29, 2017 3:19 am

There must be a better resource for staff travel than FT queries ?

Seems weird to me. Even if flying another carrier duty travel is usually confirmed in economy (with a space available upgrade).

Standby is usually for leisure travel.

Duty travel on BA isn't necessarily a confirmed ticket as I found out once. I was on duty travel and had to spend an extra night away as my return flight back to London was full including jump seats.

Returning to base as crew or after a duty trip you can be offloaded but not if you are positioning out to operate.

You would think so, wouldn't you? Especially for duty travel.

Have you not asked your employer? Surely it is in their interest to get you where you need to be.
