OT: LHR vs LCY - promo video from the 1990s

A 1993 promo VHS for London City Airport was recently discovered in the attic of air traffic engineer Vic Abbott: http://londonist.com/2016/05/airport...ampaign=buffer

Great find. Even with no traffic, would it ever have taken just 15 mins to get by taxi from LCY to Salisbury Square (8 miles)?

That brasserie looks nice. Shame LCY is so busy nowadays. I flew in last night (domestic, HBO) and it took over 15 minutes from touchdown to the DLR, a long way off my 5 minute record with bags and immigration from 10 years ago.

Still, you can't fault the views (when you land the right way):

Enjoyable viewing! You don't get ads that go for 7 minutes these days...
