More high value customers travel on AA metal (and probably AA flight codes)?

[I use the term "high value", of course, entirely incorrectly.]

So is a Premier listed as anything on AA?

As a "BA VIP" but Special Services or Trade Support in in the UK may contact their opposite number in the USA to ensure all goes well.

Got a paper BP at LHR today and it just says emerald/gold rather then GGL.
Still makes me doubt whether BA even knows when others have said, at the very least, paper passes do mention GGL.

last 2 weeks back in PHX and LAX - around 12 flights in and out of PHX and LAX . This time only had CK once and that was at LAX. Quite surprised that just a month ago had CK service majority of times on exact same flights.

not that it made any difference though. Was there for some stormy weather, which was , well fun!

Does it matter in the slightest?

Excellent service last night with a couple of telephone calls from the CK team while taxiing into CLT during a delay with a tight connection. One to make sure I had the connecting gate information and another to say she was at the gate waiting for me and to come to the desk to say hello when I arrived.

Well blow me down if I haven't just experienced the CK treatment on my flight from PHX to JFK today - first time for everything. I was quite chuffed and a bit embarrassed to be honest.

What was funny, was the gate team asked for volunteers to go on a different flight due to the flight being oversold, and I was seriously considering it.

Anyway, glad I stuck with this flight and got the opportunity of feeling special.

Now I have just been met by AA Special Services at JFK who were waiting for me to deboard the flight from PHX. We arrived in to Gate 40, and I was escorted down to Gate 42, down a lift and on to the apron, in to an SUV, driven across to Gate 14 where I was escorted up the lift in to the Flagship Lounge. Wow! I asked them whether they were prepared to offer this service to me every time I came to New York!

To be honest, it would have been quicker for me to have walked, but you don't look a gift horse in the mouth!

Boarding at PHX to LAX, I got intercepted by somebody from AA premium services after the BP scan who accompanied me down the jetbridge. Made small talk and she thanked me for my loyalty. Awkwardness level 7/10 but nice to say hello!

I had my first AA premium service a couple of weeks ago. At the gate for my PHX to PHL flight I was paged before boarding started and escorted to the plane as a “BA vip”. Interestingly I did not have to scan my boarding pass as the AA staff member scanned what I presume was a duplicate of the bp.

Assume you were travelling in economy, (as confirmed for Business and First)? Would you have considered a free standby change to the earlier flight?

That's interesting The thing was.. The earlier plane was half empty.. There were numerous seats available but they wanted 80dollar change fee.
I guess I would have kept my exit row over standing by anyway tho

So after all these years as a GGL, I finally had CK treatment. I was connecting in PHX airport and the gate agent paged me in the lounge (well called the staff who got me) to pre-board early (the gate was directly across from the lounge entrance but the flight was delayed). I was greeted, asked if everything is fine, if I needed anything, and thanked for being a CK. Till now transiting and flying out on AA all over the USA, this was the first time that this happened (and first time I flew thru PHX as a GGL). Oddly the day before I was chatting with a Rep in the flagship lounge in JFK and her computer showed me as a OWE. So I'm not sure if this is airport dependent, system dependent (PHX was US Airways base before they merged with AA and maybe their systems are different), or they just don't get many high elites flying thru. Either way, it was a very nice gesture and kind of fitting for connecting from one tier point run ticket to another

Edit: and reading the recent posts here, it seems that I'm not the only one who received similar treatment in PHX.

Edit 2 : I asked the agent in the dfw flagship check in their system how it looks and I show as a OWE. So this CK treatment has to be within the CK system.
