Venue
Now confirmed! LondonAndy spoke with the manager of the venue we used last year, and he remembered us fondly (apparently we drank him out of champagne!), so is happy to have us again:

Tapster
3 Brewers Green
Buckingham Gate
SW1H 0RH

It is a Davy’s winebar 5-10 minutes walk from Victoria station, close to St James’s Park station, (relatively) conveniently situated for all major London airports. It isn't the easiest place to find. It is at the junction of Caxton Street and Brewers Green, with a corner entrance to the wine bar downstairs (almost next door to the Blewcoat School which is a National Trust gift shop open until 17.30 if you arrive early!). If coming from Victoria Street turn down the road with "The Albert" on the corner.

There won't be any food provided as part of the Do, but Tapster do have a bar snacks menu which you can order from if you need some nibbles.

Nearest tube stations, Victoria (, , ) and St James's Park (, )

Count me in.I'm bringing Mrs Rapidex as she doesn't believe me when I tell her Flyertalk do's are just an innocent drink.

Hope she doesn't get into a drinking contest with Jamier45.

Wiki updated with latest attendees.

Also there is now a Hilton sale as mentioned on HfP this morning http://www.headforpoints.com/2015/11...s-of-up-to-35/

I notice that for a stay on Friday night there doesn't seem to be anything eye-catchingly cheap though.

I would have given serious consideration to coming along, however it's number 3 daughter's 21st birthday that day & although we will be in London, we will be dining en famille 🍸🍸🎉🎂

Enjoy!

I'm in town and hoping to arrange someone to look after the junior 00s. If all works out, I'd also be up for meeting early.

Strong maybe. I need to get my 4 BA segments, so I might try for that weekend.

Hopefully work won't get in the way, like last time.
I'd like to attend and maybe compare 'notes' with others back from HNL

Also might be worth adding these hotel deals to wikki:

1) Carlson has a sale going on until 29th I believe. 30% off:
http://dreamdeals.clubcarlson.com/en...lastday.cta.en

2) Accor has the usual 'Happy Mondays' if booked on the Monday or Tuesday of that week:

Just over a week to go to this Do. If you have never come to a Do before then why not make it this one and enjoy a few drinks with some good company.

I need to downgrade to "maybe" unfortunately as looks like I might have to be up north in Brum that evening.....

I think I will come by. Nothing planned on that evening yet.

BTW Karfa, I read your trip report from Tromso today and realised that's the same Northern Light show I enjoyed on a first day of my trip to Troms region. I thought pictures look familiar and checked dates.

Aha, yes it was quite spectacular that night wasn't it. I really want to go back again soon, and probably go further north to Svalbard.
